Aluminum Copper Coil

also known as aluminum copper radiator (ACR) scrap

They are primarily found in air conditioning and refrigeration systems as evaporator coils or radiators

The value of ACR scrap is determined by its preparation. It is sold to metal recycling yards as either "clean" or "dirty".

Clean ACR: This is scrap where all steel, plastic, and other foreign materials have been removed. It is worth more per pound because it is a higher-grade material.

Dirty ACR: This is ACR with steel brackets and other contaminants still attached. The yard will pay less for dirty ACR because they will only offer a rate based on the lowest-grade material in the load.
